You may have received a letter, phone call, text message, email, or a visit from us because we are working on behalf of an organisation you owe money to — such as your local council, housing provider, or utility company.
We’ve been asked to get in touch and help you resolve the matter. Our role is to work with you, not against you, and the sooner you engage with us, the easier it is to agree a way forward. Early contact can also help you avoid additional fees and prevent an enforcement agent visit.
You can reach us in several ways:
Our opening hours are:
We’re here to listen, support, and help you take control.
Prior to an enforcement visit all attempts are made to contact you. It is during this time that we are able to agree a suitable arrangement if payment in full isn’t an option. An enforcement agent is assigned to a case as a last resort to take control of goods when we have not been able to settle the matter during our compliance stage. You will need to discuss your options with the agent.
Unfortunately, this can happen in some cases. To remove the named person from your address please email us a copy of an up to date council tax bill or utility bill to info@jtrcollections.co.uk.
JTR Collections have numerous payment options. You can make an online payment on the make a payment section of the website. Alternatively, you can pay by the following methods:
All arrangements offered will be considered. Please be aware we are under no obligation to accept an arrangement, but all offers will be considered on a case by case basis. Please visit www.iehub.co.uk/jtr-collections to complete an incoming and expenditure form so your circumstances can be considered.
All the fee’s applied to the balance are set by the Ministry of Justice and are applied inline with the Taking Control of Goods (fees) Regulations 2014 and are provided below:

JTR Collections takes pride in dealing with everyone fairly. If you feel like this hasn’t happened to you, please put your complaint in writing. You can make a complaint in several ways including visiting our complaints section of our website. Alternatively send your complaint to:

If you are unhappy with your response, you can request that your complaint is reviewed by a director. They will look at your complaint from the beginning and either accept the response which has been issued or take further action and investigate.
If you are still unhappy with the response issued you can escalate your complaint to the Enforcement Conduct Board, information on this can be found here –https://enforcementconductboard.org/making-a-complaint/
The ‘Freeman on the Land’ movement, and similar groups, commonly believe that they are bound only by statute laws they consent to.
Being a ‘freeman’ does not exempt any person from paying Council Tax.
The liability to pay Council Tax falls under the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and later regulations. This is a statute created by a democratically elected Parliament of the United Kingdom which has received the assent of the Crown.
The collection, administration and enforcement of Council Tax is set by The Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) Regulations 1992. This gives local authorities the right to demand Council Tax which is used to fund essential local services.
Council Tax is not optional and not something you consent to. If you are liable to pay Council Tax, you must make your payments. Failure to do so will result in recovery action being taken.
Any reference to a person not having consented or there being a contractual relationship between them and the Council has no legal basis.
We will provide a Letter of Authority from our instructing client. Any enforcement agent who attends will also show their Enforcement Agent Certificate and provide ID on request.
Enforcement agents may visit your property to discuss the debt and to take control of goods. They cannot force entry to domestic premises unless specific legal conditions are met. You are entitled to ask for ID and authority documents at any visit.
